Angry Father

He comes home from his job;
so frustrated that none of the chores are finished
The little teenage daughter knows when to hide
He comes storming through the door
Another bad day at work
Well that gives no excuse
You hit your daughter;
the one you yourself brought into this world
Your the reason she falls asleep crying at night
Hiding; door locked; under blankets
Will he come back when no one else is around?
Will he finish me off?
Her heart doesn't stop pounding around him
Why won't anyone help me?
Everyone is so afraid of him
He's big and bad
He is like their enemy
Will they make it through?
She prays for her family every night but forgets herself.
