Obsession

Were so obsessed
With all the wrong things.
Money
Fame
Beauty
Material possessions.
All the things
That don’t matter in the end.
Still
We crave them
More than anything.
We hope so desperately
That they will make us feel better
And give us happiness.
In doing this,
We push away people.
Surrounded by all our things,
We’re lonely.
We search our contacts for someone,
Someone to make us feel happy.
When
Will we finally see,
That things
Won’t make us happy?
