Far From Perfect

Mom's always preaching for her to see
but her baby girl doesn't want to believe
Her mother tries to change her mind
but it doesn't make any sense
This world is filled with anger and agony
It erupts her, it kills her inside
She's 14, but she's seen
such troubles; such hate
Babies die before they even see the world
Teenagers give their lives away
Drugs are abused and misused
This world is far from perfect
Is she cut out to live this life?
All she can think about are the cuts left from the past
Why was she chosen to live this life; why is anybody chosen to live like this?
