Gossimer

I hide behind the Gossimer veil
because i don't want them to know
my heart my fears my thoughts
they are me
they can't see me if i don't want them to

because if they see
my strife my loneliness my despair
they'll want to help
i don't need help
my light will defeat my darkness

But sometimes I lift the veil
so they can see
my smiles my joy my love
for them and the rest of the earth
so they always know
I will prevail
