Written so that one could believe
All emotions he could not conceive
Nothing works when thoughts run dry
When everything isn't worth the try
A future forced down his throat
Words he's heard so much he could quote
You'll be just like your father
Don't try to resist, don't be a bother
This ugly, disgusting family tradition
Of using his child for his own ambition
Isn't worth the shattered window glass
That ends in a church, a tearful mass
All his father has is a shallow grave
Of a son he could of saved
Time will never heal his teary eyes
Or forgive his hundred goodbyes
All emotions he could not conceive
Nothing works when thoughts run dry
When everything isn't worth the try
A future forced down his throat
Words he's heard so much he could quote
You'll be just like your father
Don't try to resist, don't be a bother
This ugly, disgusting family tradition
Of using his child for his own ambition
Isn't worth the shattered window glass
That ends in a church, a tearful mass
All his father has is a shallow grave
Of a son he could of saved
Time will never heal his teary eyes
Or forgive his hundred goodbyes
