At night, I lose my inhibitions in the dark
And my filter in my brain all but disappears, until
Suddenly it seems okay,
Even smart,
To tell you everything.
To tell you more than what you want to hear.
I will tell the truth as I see it,
With no smooth edges,
No – truth as ragged as a disc used as a dog's chew toy.
Truth as bare as an Arizona desert.
Truth as cold as the deepest secret corners of the human heart.
If it pops in my mind,
I HAVE to share it.
My fingers twitch, my mind rushes, and all I want to do is send
One
More
Message.
Maybe then my mind will clear.
But what will spill out?
