Wrap me up in fuzzy fabrics for just a moment.
Sheep skins, flees, rabbit fur
and my favorite
the old thick quilt my grandmother sewed
just for me.
Take long strips of each,
and sew their sides together
and stitch by stitch create a perfectly riotous, coma inducing
-softest thing you’ll ever lay fingers on-
blanket.
One of those.
And I’ll wrap up my toes, go up to my knees
then to my waist,
then to my shoulders
then to my chin
and then I’ll duck in,
having made myself
the largest fuzziest cocoon
in my history of the world.
