He sat there
and stared.
At the withering shadows
as if they were never so rare.
He never budged; barely moved,
and had a tendency to disapprove.
The earth shook
and he just blinked.
The words cut,
but he didn't bleed.
His world drowned,
but he could still breathe.
I just smiled
and he fell off his seat.
And then I knew.
Nothing could affect him,
except for me.
