Curled up like an embryo
lying in my bathtub,
salt and water slipping down,
filled with emotions so visceral.
My brain's engine has stopped running,
this problem it cannot solve.
I don't know how my heart still beats
thumping with its usual vigor,
but a broken heart shouldn't beat,
or at least I don't want it to.
