Roads That Lie Ahead

Each branch symbolizes a path I chose,

while the others are still left unknown.

Every road I went down has taught me wrong from right,

And always in the end I have found the light.

When the time comes my wings soon will spread.

And will leave all these unspoken words left unsaid.

I begin to let go of the burdened load of shame,

for I am no longer reminded by the taunting callings of my name.

I begin to look forward; I’m getting ready to transform ready for change.

I give thanks to all my loved ones who gave me faith,

and helped me through all the struggles I had to face.

I don’t regret any of the pain that I have suffered,

because it has only made me stronger.

Because of you I became who I am today.
