Back against the grass
Knowing somewhere out there is
a star-eclipsing star
Waiting for the sun
to come and swallow all our fears
and keep us blinded by the day
Watching colors on the horizon
until the colors cease to crest
and the last star fades
Feeling the cosmos churning
Knowing it won’t always be this way
Earth turning—
In outer space
They have no graves
