Stars fill the black sky almost every night.
Shining, they twinkle in the pale moonlight.
They speckle and dot the sky with silver,
The immaculate sight makes me shiver.
I know that this will not last forever,
Darkness and I cannot stay together.
Nighttime must vanish and the sun must rise.
And a blue sky will be the stars’ disguise.
All the dark beauty will fade into light.
So be it, I’ll wait for the next twilight.
For time will not stop and will never cease.
It will not be long before I have peace.
‘Till then I shall listen for night’s whisper,
And forever sing this nighttime vesper.
