Tales of Me.

When I was a little girl I would stand on my picnic table with the wind blowing fierce in my face. And with my eyes opened wide and my hands held high as my hair blew in all directions I would declare that I was at the top of the world.

Another day, I would watch plastic bags fly in the wind to find new lands to call home and roam freely. It was then that I tied a batman cape around my shoulders and ran like a bat out of hell right to no where and declared that I was free.

Months later when summer melted into fall I watched leaves detach themselves from their source of life and float safely to the ground. I ran to the living room and piled pillows upon pillows until I was satisfied. I climbed to the top of the couch, mustered up the courage to jump off, and giggled when I realized I was safe. I thought to myself"I can fall and get right back up. I am strong"
