Tears streaming down my face
Like a gentle waterfall
All my secrets leaking out
And you read them all

With arms wide open
You were calling

I came running

My face is wet
My eyes are red
You read my book
With nothing said

The need for speech is growing
But it is hard to say a word
So you went first
“ I love you”
It took me by surprise
And then I realized
“ I love you too”
