Some say beauty is in the eyes of a beholder,
But you don’t know beauty until it’s too late.
It’s like trying to capture a sunset
As the sun is slipping away,
Now it’s too late.
As the world slowly rotates,
The entire ocean grasps its life,
Wanting to hold on a little more tightly.
As you imagine the universe lying in your bed,
Think about the beauty and how soon it will be dead.
“Every creature is better alive than dead, men and moose and pine trees, and he who understands it aright will rather preserve its life than destroy it.” - Henry David Thoreau
