The wind flies past me
Whipping my hair about my face and neck.
I lift my hands and try to catch the wind,
But it slips through my fingers.
The water rains down around me
Soaking me to the core.
I cup my hands and try to hold the water,
But it slips through my fingers.
The sunlight shines upon me
Warming my body and mind.
I close my hands and try to trap the sunlight,
But it slips through my fingers.
The world spins around me
Confusing my heart and soul.
I reach out my hand and try to stop the world,
But it slips through my fingers.
