Impossibly Dark

I know when it’s impossible to fight
It sheds brutal truth
On all the beautiful lies
And the gentleness of the ruthless
Is hidden in the darkness inside.
Can anyone save me?
I’m trying to live my life
But no-one can hide
From the creeping night,
The darkness inside.
I’m a single, struggling, bleeding candle
Suffocating inside the darkness that surrounds me
I’m desperate to destroy what’s growing inside of my heart
All I want is to be finally free
From all the evil stars their sharp rays cutting me.
While my head and my soul tear me apart-
Is there no escape for me?
While the gentleness escapes this world
And the industry of death gets greater
I’m trying to simply live my life
It seems I’m fated,
But no one can flee
From the creeping night,
And the darkness inside.
