Shadows in the Lines

I don’t know the obvious,
So I dare to ask, do you?
I question the simplicity of things
Because I don’t know what the shadows bring.

Think of something you thought you knew.
A dream that never came true,
The truth that made you want a lie,
And a hello with an ending goodbye.

But the state of mind is re-created,
Into the reality you once contemplated.
The reality will never be,
because from where i see it, it’s a dream.

The truth comes with an expense,
With an exceeding price we’ll have to pay.
Whether you want to believe it or not
Depends, are you willing to say?

There’s a little truth in every lie,
And a little regret in every goodbye.
But thats where reality comes to be,
The truth is reality, don’t you see??

And I’ll repeat the expense one more time,
For the sake of clever rhyme,
For the sake of what you’ll never find,
And the shadows you’ve left behind.

I still don’t know the obvious.
So if I ask, will you shout it out?
I found your shadows between the lines,
Wondering what this poems about.
