To Tell A Liie

As lies spill out my mouth
As thoughts eat me away
The truth is stretched tight…
The pain never strays.

These little white lies
That add up quite a sum
These little white lies –
Supposed to stop at one

Too shy to call for help
Too scared to even admit
Too worried of the consequences –
Oh, the conflict!

Left with no understanding
No answer to my ‘why’
No way to turn around –
Only to tell a lie
