Darkness

Darkness...
To a child, a great fear...
To an adult, a cause of anxiety
To me, Darkness is an old friend
When the lights are out, you're there to say hello and comfort me
When I'm upset, you hold me in your cold, comforting, dark arms
You're as small as a shadow
Yet as large as night
Nobody understands my dark side except you
You make my demon evolve
Darkness....old friend....find a way to help me close these open wounds and make them scars to feed to my inner demon...
