Will you?

Its a single thread
Held together by love and honor
Destroyed by pain and dread

Cut away at by a razor of pain
biting remarks and stinging names
everything to lose but nothing to gain

Why should I let you in?
So you can tear me apart
piece by piece,limb by limb

Why should I trust in you?
give myself up
and start over new

But I'm tired of this lie
grown wary of this game
I will never know why
you've decided to play

All I know is the power I loant
Is the power to destoy me
I just hope that you don't

To be a great poet is to have gone through great pain. Giving somebody your love is also giving them the power to hurt you, and you displayed this message flawlessely. Though the rhyme scheme was a little awkward in the third and fourth stanza, I think it is warrented because of the content.
