Music,
it is life and serenity and also serendipity,
music is harmonizing to melodies and openness and nothing just is,
music is there when you need a better reason to cry,
and it is meaning when you can otherwise find none;
it tells you a story in a way you can remember,
it is piano keys and guitar strings and singing in the rain,
and the awkwardness of a sixth grader at their first middle school dance...
for me, it is the winter musical every year
and the practice rooms with Gracie,
it is the piano in my living room that I get yelled at for playing too loudly,
it is a Capella and singing the national anthem (and messing up a bit too often),
and it is life,
and it is nothing and it is everything and it is what it should be and that is enough,
and it is absolutely beautiful,
especially when it does not try to be.
