Once, together we strolled on the beach
Our imprints deep into the sand when
A wave arrived.
Hand in hand, ensuring your presence
I depress further through the grains
Against the strongest of the tides
To portrait our eternal love.
I look at your casual leisurely walk
Sweeping the grains in entire direction
I dreaded would you do that to me too?
And soon you declared your freedom.
Crumpled me like an old parchment
Left to the mercy of worthless bins
Who could now smoothen out the crumples?
You’ve closed the doors for everyone!
Left me broke, to repent over my foolishness
I decided to love who, but you
Tried to live a million moments with you
I should have seen how could I not?
That you were the one to slice me once
Chop me twice, mince me over several times
You froze my glass heart into a thousand pieces
The echo can still be heard reverberating.
And now,
I’m to the showers I drown my sorrows into
I’m to the moon that wipes my tears
I’m unaware of the world you met me in
I’m still holding the fragments of my core
And they still give out a faint glow
Of hope, that died back a million years ago.
