I'm from too small beds,
From the blackberries beside my house.
From moving every year,
Losing friends and gaining friends.
I am from hand-me-down
And too big jeans.
From falling down
And hurting my knees.
I'm from crying as I lost my cat,
Signing in my church
And getting mad as my cookies were taken.
From a year in a state
And a year in another.
I'm from a family there before me,
Waiting for me to add on to it.
From the blackberries beside my house.
From moving every year,
Losing friends and gaining friends.
I am from hand-me-down
And too big jeans.
From falling down
And hurting my knees.
I'm from crying as I lost my cat,
Signing in my church
And getting mad as my cookies were taken.
From a year in a state
And a year in another.
I'm from a family there before me,
Waiting for me to add on to it.
