stop touching me
like you're saving my life,
like it's a chore;
like i'm an exercise in morse
code or semaphore.
this is not war, i'm not
floundering on an enemy shore
(not anymore.) if i'm a deserter,
you're a coward for sure:
cowards are yellow no matter their color
your gray might fool them
but i'm several shades duller
india-dash-lima-oscar-victor-echo
you're not worth the wait
& it's time to let go.
