Settling My Insanity

If I look out the corner of my eye,
I can see a figment hazy and grey, and
if I delude myself, then I would say that’s you.
You, in the back of mind making your way forward.
You remind me of the ice cubes in the freezer,
when I touch you-you begin to absorb my heat,
then you proceed to melt-you flee from my grasp
into a form, I can’t hold onto-no matter how hard I try.
Truly, this was not my concept to be this abated,
but I learned a new language in my tethered anguish.
I spoke it-it sound was of mantras in melodies, along with
the semblance I exposed, which was fit for a stage with no final curtain.
No clemency, just pent up bitterness.
I would not let anyone into my misery.
I rather a matted women over my sanity,
because to me it’s a mystery to be straighten…
