Never does anyone question
where the flowers on the grave have gone
The only colors in the cemetery
Dead and vibrant with life
An important triviality
A gift we always remember to bring
before visiting the buried
And instantly sinks into oblivion
when we turn away
I never stop putting daisies
on a tombstone with the epitaph
that spells Our Love
but always walk away and leave
the feelings forgotten
for it hurts more to recall
And needless to say they are
only flowers
flowers only
last so long
where the flowers on the grave have gone
The only colors in the cemetery
Dead and vibrant with life
An important triviality
A gift we always remember to bring
before visiting the buried
And instantly sinks into oblivion
when we turn away
I never stop putting daisies

And needless to say they are
only flowers
flowers only
last so long
