Rollercoaster

High school is like a rollercoaster
Happiness soars over the highest of clouds
And plummits to the depths of the earth with the flip of a switch
Twists and turns come without warning
But with some parts bring great ease
Never able to anticipate what's next,
I brace myself for the unthinkable
I feel upside down, I am not myself
Blood rushes to the tip of my nose, boiling
The ride comes to an end
My blood is no longer boiling
And I am myself again
I realize that every twist and turn
Was worth the ride
