A Life
Life goes on
But never stops,
Not letting you catch a breath.
It numbs your senses and your nature,
Not allowing you to be what you desire.
Love and friendship succumb to hate and rage,
Increasing your ire minute after minute,
Second after second,
A tick after a tick of the clock.
Feelings give way to passions,
Love gives way to lust
As the minutes pass, after seconds fly.
Life passes, reaching death,
Where you are pushed to your limit,
Another drop in the full cup of life,
And you're gone,
Lost in the memories of the distant past.

I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is. Albert Camus
