IRAQ
a place of unsolved Problems
and everlasting mystery
about what goes on
sounds of rapid gunfire and screams
travel up
and down the streets
day and night
all you can hear is
the cry of a thousand heartbeats
then suddenly silence consumes you
not a peep
not even the whisper of the wind
the feel in your hands
has fallen into a deep sleep
the blood in your veins
freezes like a cold winter night
your body still
as if scuplted into a statue
a cold bullet has just struck you
