or the shine out of the sun
or the caress out of the breeze
like good old-fashioned

unrequited love.

Short and succinct but full of raw emotions. Great poem, true, as well. The irony on "... good old-fashioned unrequited love" makes me smile. The caress out of the breeze, eh? I don't believe I had heard that one. Brilliant all in all.

I get it, it's like love takes everything beautiful away because when you love and you lose it, it hurts and everything seems for the worst. I totally agree with your comment you wrote about what the poem is about. i love it.
