Kindness

Be kind to me life
And do not paint my skies a shade of rubble gray
Musty
Melancholy
And muddled
Do not frost over my heart with icicles
That will melt into puddles like an ice cream cone
And expect me to rise from it like a phoenix out of ashes
Be fluid
Yet mild
Like the west winds
Dazzle like powder snow
Pure and white
And shower me with rays of sun,
Laced with gold,
That will linger on my skin
And comfort me like blankets on the worst of nights
When life throws darkness at my window.

To love is to be vulnerable; Triumph is born out of struggle; We notice shadows most when they stand alone in the midst of overwhelming light.

You're so descriptive in your poems. I aboslutely love this. It's wonderful. Yo're very talented. Thank you for sharing your poem.
