I bet a laugh escaped from your lips when you took hold of his soul
And when you painted these dark moons under my eyes
I swear I heard a cackle
When the ashen skin replaced rosy kisses on my cheeks
And my restless heart beats crashed against my chest
You smiled and whispered “More.”
I bet that with every breath I sigh yours grows heartier
I am becoming the skeleton beneath my skin
You are turning me inside out
Into You.
But don’t you mind.
Don’t mind at all.
You cannot snuff out his song that whispers among the trees
And the rays of sunlight that gleam with his smile
Don’t you mind.
He is forever mine.

This piece was beautiful. I could really tell it came from you.
