Dim and dark
on sunken wings
the melting glow
of tears on skin
and dint of pressure
grasping spare
and turning raw
those gaping eyes
stinging the sight
of what is right in front of us.

The author's comments:
Though this is a poem about crying, I don't see it as a specifically negative way. I wrote this after a difficult time in my life, where the crying was not only about grief, but a sense of renewal and clearing my vision. Thank you for reading.

I love it dear. It has its own.. personal charm, let's say?

The title is what caught my eye. "The Color of Crying" very unique and its quite attetion grabbing if I do say so myself. Wonderful word usage. I love it. Nothing more to be said. :) I'll look forward to hear more from you.

Wow. It's brief and straight to the point but makes so much sense at the same time.

"We've got this gift of love, but love is like a precious plant. You can't just accept it and leave it in a cupboard or just think it's going to get on by itself. You've got to keep watering it. You've got to really look after it and nurture it." - John Lennon

"In my end is my beginning."... - T.S. Eliot

Writing about a situation that everyone can relate to in some way is the sign of a real poet. I loved this. Such a perfect description. Just wow.

There so many emotions when crying, I it that love someone wrote about it. Not the emotions but the colors in it.

Instead of sit here and tell you about how this poem has affected me and how crying is so easy to relate with, I'll tell you that this was a small work of genius. I can relate to it, and so can many other people, and that's what makes a great author or poet. Keep writing, and I'll keep reading.
