It’s funny how all my life,
I’ve dreamed of finding my prince
Such an impossible task
How could anyone find their perfect match
Love is such a myth
The more I grow and discover,
the more impossible it seems
Until You…

The more you listen to me
and the more I hear from you
the more right it feels
And I feel so naive thinking
how it might work.

I don’t ask why you love me
because words are cheaper than air
You show me with laughter and the way
you hold my hand.

When you complimented my dorky side,
the one side of me I try to hide,
or when you indulge me with your texts
even when I'm a hot mess
You showed me in our little moments
That maybe that you love me.

Let me give you this warning,
If one day you decide
you don't "want" me,
I won’t stop you but listen to me now;
I’ve been in love thats not true
love that kills who you are
I’ve been there and it hurts
What we have is real

I can't promise much
But I can promise to give all I can

We’re young
and We’re lucky
And The moment you grabbed my hand
and I rested my head on your shoulder
I knew I was in love with you

Even now I’m losing my breath and I’m turning red as I write this poem.
I’m writing it for you but I have no idea if I can ever let you see me like this.
I still need to protect myself

I love you
and I wish I could pause this moment
this simple moment where
I love you and maybe  you love me.
