a droopy dandelion sits alone
the corrupt and vicious wordy weeds
attacking her in her sleepy state
breaking off bits and pieces of her
one at a time
beginning with her body
her fat, ever-growing feet
there goes the first petal
the enormous monsters that are her thighs
second petal
size six jeans that harass her hips
another petal
a chest that switches from”cardboard flat”
to “size Z”
pluck a petal
the overwhelming ugliness that rests upon her neck
there goes the last one
wilting
wilting
falling

resting nearby, a blooming iris
pretty and innocent outside
scarry within
the bully bug buzzes around landing swiftly on the stamen
pluck; one petal down
the sharp knife of guilt cuts deep
petal number two: gone
another meal skipped
and another
pluck
pluck
pop!
cap off
down them all

spinning
falling
fading
sleeping
escaping
leavi--
