Favorite Quote:
"It was gone, leaving in its place an almost uncontrollable impulse to laugh, to scream, to hurl things about. She wanted, suddenly, to shock people, to hurt them, to make them notice her, to be aware of her suffering.”
•Nella Larsen, Passing•

Inner demons strangle me
torment, taunt, torture

I plaster a smile on my cracking face
I show people what will be bearable for them to handle
Which isn’t much, most are weak, too frail to hear the truth.

So I sit and smile

My brain, my blood, my heart slowly rot and spoil from the

spotlight melting my plastic skin.
