A ringing that doesn't go away
until you shake your head around
That ringing that you hear?
that ringing is the screaming of the dead
They are screaming their story in your ear
They scream every hour, every minute, and every second, of every day
Hoping that someone, anyone will listen to them
They try so hard to reach our world
Trying so hard to retell their death to us
They have to retell it
If they don’t they will be stuck screaming forever
Unable to stop, unable to move on
If you hear them
you have no choice but to retell their story
If you don’t retell their story
the doorway from their world to ours opens
They then are invited in, they chose to stay in your head
but their screaming turns to a whisper
Their whispering slowly takes over your thoughts,
slowly you wither away,
and the dead returns
Always whispering, always ringing.
