What is the
Sound of silence?
A what, perhaps
A certain uncertainty
A noteless staff
A blank chord
Infinitely resonant
A something yet to be
An air so very still
That one touch
Murders it.
A prélude to noise
That silence gives meaning.
For if there is no silence
There is no certainty
And no uncertainty.
