A boat
Adrift
Aglow
Afloat
Upon the celestial tapestry
Above the white crests
That occlude the clear
Ocean of Night
Its falcate frame
Illuminates the silent sky
Casting its pearlescent glow
Into the depths of the
Ocean of night
So gently it drifts, sinking
Beneath the chalky waves
Its luster, barely preserved
A sliver of light
In the ocean of
Night.
