A rose seems not so sweet at all

My love is like an overused metaphor, said with half a heart,
Hesitantly summoned from a dustly hallmark card;
Tossed from the lips like already-been-chewed-gum,
Got no creativity, just looking for a little fun.
And once all that's been said and done,
Hearts all wrapped up and silent tongues,
A rose seems not so sweet at all
A rose seems not so sweet, at all.
