Strobe
The sweet smell of paraphernalia
Swims low in the air
Throughout the sweaty mob.
J’s are passed left and right
To new friends.
She took one hit.
Started feeling light-headed,
But that’s what strobe lights and
Thundering bass do to cooked
Teenager’s minds.
So she went with the upbeat flow of music,
Allowing her heart to pump with
Giddyness?
When the concert’s over,
The strobe lights come to an
End.
The pulse expires.
People frantically surround her
Leaving the girl breathless.
