Words float on an invisible stream
Verbal enunciations reverberating like a dream
I concentrate on the tip of my pencil
Its strokes as if I was using a fine stencil
Finishing my work, I release my breath
My stiff, cold fingers worked almost to death
I grin down at my finished product with barely supprssed glee
"I'm finally done, my night is free!"
Then my eyes slide to the corner of the screen
The newly added assignment enough to make one scream
