They dance with the wind
Swirling and floating left to right
With the reach of a mittened hand, they are still
Silently staring
Noticing each one is different
A spirited child of the sky
As they fall they see lights draped on houses
A bountiful array
Air filled with the smell of pine
A cold blissful sight
They glide upon the iced sheets of bladed joy
And tiny hats are glazed with white
They melt on the tongues of innocents
When at once it all ends
Knowing it will all be back again

I wanted to write a joyful poem.
