Rose petals everywhere,
A single flower
He placed in her hair,
It was he,
The love of her life,
Who she wanted to be with all the time,
Day light,
Or dark night,
She knew he was the one,
Loved him more than life itself,
His bright, blue eyes and perfect, pearly smile
Made her want to melt,
He wasn’t perfect but he was close,
Yet she couldn’t tell him how she felt,
As he placed a flower in her hair,
He looked in her eyes,
And knew that love was there,
He watched her flash a flirty smile, and blush at his kind gesture,
He knew she was the one,
For it wasn’t her looks that he treasured,
It was her heart,
That he would always remember.
They looked at each other with such passion,
They admitted their hidden love,
Relived they both fell the same.
Impossible to separate,
Each others soul mate,
Next thing you know,
Rose petals, are spread once again,
This time along a silk white isle,
She walked to her love,
Once again she flashed a flirty smile,
He thought to himself “I'm the luckiest man,”
They, said I dos,
And exchanged rings hand to hand,
Heart to heart,
Lip to lip.
Before they knew it they became parents,
Prayed for a chance for him to find love like theirs,
To think it all started with a flower in her hair.
