I've seen the skeletons
Hiding in your closet,
More than just bones
And detailed composites,
I've heard the lies you tell,
They're neither little nor white,
I've witnessed the hands you deal,
Two kings but no white knight,
I don't know what your conscience tells you at night,
Or what the voice inside your head sounds like,
Cruel words tinged with guilt?
Schemes carefully built?
Where's the angel on your shoulder,
Or did the devil take him out?
Why can't you tell me what you told her,
Or am I like your angel now?
Are you blind to who I am,
Or to who I try to be?
Are you trying to condemn
Every part of me?
Hiding in your closet,
More than just bones
And detailed composites,
I've heard the lies you tell,
They're neither little nor white,
I've witnessed the hands you deal,
Two kings but no white knight,
I don't know what your conscience tells you at night,
Or what the voice inside your head sounds like,
Cruel words tinged with guilt?
Schemes carefully built?
Where's the angel on your shoulder,
Or did the devil take him out?
Why can't you tell me what you told her,
Or am I like your angel now?
Are you blind to who I am,
Or to who I try to be?
Are you trying to condemn
Every part of me?
