Remember Me MAG
Do you remember me? I'm the girl
You knocked down in the hall.
You were in a rush, and I guess
I must have blended in with the wall.
Is that what happened? Or is it
You were moving just too fast
And all the things you're rushing by,
Do you know what you've gone past?
Do you remember me? I'm the girl
Who laughed, the girl who can do no wrong.
I'm the girl who can't do anything,
Who never will belong.
Or am I mistaken?
Was that role taken,
By all the girls told that they're “unique”?
Let's be honest, it's a synonym for “freak.”
At least, that's what we think
And the magazines claim –
So now, the truth, the revolution,
It's time to proclaim:
I screw up, and I'm messed up,
I see a shrink, and that's okay.
I don't fit the perfect picture
That we all try to portray.
Do you remember me? I'm leading
A revolution starting now.
If you remember me,
We'll change the world, I vow.
Will you remember me? Or more importantly,
Will you remember what I've said?
I may only be a fleeting star,
One day, I will grow cold.
But if you look up to the stars tonight
You'll see more than pinpricks of light
Wisdom shines and wisdom's released,
As you wish on a star that's deceased.
But it's okay, if you remember me,
Do you remember me? I'm here.
But one day when my light is gone,
Don't let me disappear.
Fading into walls, we bury ourselves
In the go-go-go rush, modern hurries.
Everyone needs to be told,
We share all the same worries.
Will they like me? Do I even
Matter to anyone? And will I
Live on to be happy or
Just go away after I die?
I hate this stress and this pain,
Depression, wonder if I'm sane.
I'm tired, and I only want to go to bed.
I've gotta do everything else instead.
I wonder if anyone else would agree
Or if no one will ever join me.
Are these everybody's thoughts,
Or am I the only one?
If you are like me, come and join me
The revolution's begun.
And we'll fight the modern world in sync,
And let free the secret thoughts we think.

Favorite Quote:
"Help me mother, save me father. Keep me from fading away. Send me hope. Send me love. Remind me your not far away." The quote can mean whatever you want it to, but to me, it's about God, Our Father, and Mary, Our Mother.
