I find myself needing
Something to hold onto
Someone to hold me
And keep me safe

I want that odd feeling
That tightness
That closeness

I want to hold on
And feel safe from the world

When I was younger
I felt that safeness
I could hold onto my dreams
And they'd hold onto me

Now I'm older
And my dreams are farther away
They're still there
But my grip is weak
And I lose my hold

And I have been able to hold on
You feel the same
As these dreams of mine
