T'was The Night Before Finals

T’was the night before finals
And all through the school
All the students were studying
If you weren’t you’re a fool

The children were scared, vocab in their head
There was no chance they were going to bed
At my house, I was frightened, so I was pacing
Exams are coming and I soon will be facing

My head was dizzy, I just couldn’t study
My eyes were half shut and my thoughts were all muddy
Some food, I thought, would help me focus more
And just like that I’m asleep on the floor

I can’t sleep now, I have to prepare
The Final Exams are soon to be there
Futures foreshadow from grades made in school
Working at McDonalds wouldn’t be cool

With all of my studying, I’ll put up a good fight
I am finally calling it a good night
I’m just going to have to do my best
