Today I visited the silver beach

The sun’s rays glistened upon a single wave

Close by my heart, yet so far out of reach

Trying to reenact the beaut I crave

Reminded of your elegance daily

Waves in my sea of dreams awakens me

Sorrow, Reminiscing of you gaily

Heart aching, however I mustn’t plea

For only reminiscence is possible

The two sea’s no longer benevolent

Sounds of future, no longer audible

What was, is no longer predestinate

A breeze passes and so too does the time

Our paths diverge, the sand, my lonely shrine

I’m just a normal 18 year old kid who got inspired to write and want to improve my skills. Feedback AND criticism is welcome 🫶🏾. This poem is meant to help those who have dealt with relationships that ended undesirably in hopes to grant some form of comfort to their aching hearts.
